Your Wedding Web Site.

Many couples these days like to establish a web site for their wedding, containing events, photos, the couple's story, plans, and so on. If you do have your own wedding web site, you can use it for some aspects of organizing. For example, you can post schedules, provide information about gift registries, provide directions, and give your guests any other details they need. A word of caution, though: Not everyone is familiar with the use of computers and has access to a computer and the Internet. So do not expect your older relatives and guests to respond to their invitations, select dinner entrees, or get directions to the church via your web site.
One bride I worked with told me she considered her wedding web site indispensable. The site served two main purposes: (1) it told the guests and friends about the bride and groom as a couple and as individuals; and (2) it communicated a lot of practical information to their guests. The second point was very important, because the couple had a lot of guests coming from out-of-town, even out-of-the-country, and they had to communicate a lot of logistical details.
The web site will also serve as a place folks can hear about and see photos of your honeymoon. As your family grows this is a great place to post photos of new additions to your household, such as a pet or children.
