A major service I provide is wedding coaching. Basically, I help couples make discoveries about each other, discuss these discoveries and make decisions.  Here is a sample of what I discuss with couples getting married:

Once you've made the decision to get married:

  • Are you getting married? Or just planning a wedding?
  • Do you think you can change the other person's ways?  Think again!  WYSIWYG!  (What you see is what you get.)
  • Does your intended treat you well?  Has he/she ever hit you or attacked you in any way?  These are MAJOR warning signs of possible domestic violence.  To settle your mind or to talk with an experienced counselor about the possibility of domestic violence, call your local domestic violence hotline.
  • Did you give yourself enough time to get to know who you are before getting married?
  • Are you going directly from being someone's daughter to being someone's wife?
  • Are you happy with who you are?
  • Are you presenting to your spouse a complete person willing to grow, learn, and share?

These subjects and many others can be found in my book To Do Before "I Do" available at www.LuLu.com.  For information about wedding coaching or wedding planning, please contact me at Rita@ToDoBeforeIDo.com
