While you’re making your honeymoon plans, think about your safety while enjoying your new life together. Here's an important travel tip: Make two copies of your passport(s), plane or cruise tickets, driver’s licenses, and copies of two credit cards, front and back. Try to travel with only two credit cards; leave the rest back home in a secure place or even a safe-deposit box. Give a copy of these items, plus a copy of your itinerary to a family member back home. When you arrive at your destination, put the following items inside your hotel room safe: your passports, your airline or cruise tickets, copies of the two credit cards, and one of the two credit cards. When you go out touring take only one credit card and copies of your passports. If your wallet is stolen, you will still have one credit card back in the hotel room and a copy of the one that was stolen so you can call the bank immediately and have all the pertinent information handy. Remember that since 9/11/01, it takes longer to get a passport. And you now need a passport when traveling to Canada and the Caribbean.
